Handmade in Tennessee

The piece at the road should look like it belongs to the house.

Most homes do not need a louder sign. They need the last temporary thing removed: the address marker that never quite matches the driveway, the landscaping, or the house. So we started building that piece from steel in our Tennessee shop, one address at a time.

Explore the address pillar Built one at a time. Steel body. Cut numbers. Solar light.
From the shop floor

It should look like it came with the property.

That was the standard from the beginning. Not louder. Not fancier. Just permanent enough to feel settled.

A lot of address markers are bought after everything else is finished. The driveway is done. The landscaping is in. Then a plastic plaque or thin metal sign gets placed near the road because the address still has to be visible.

That was the gap we cared about: a marker that feels installed, not placed there. Steel during the day. Readable numbers after dark. Quiet enough to belong at the entrance instead of taking it over.

The first decision

Make the address part of the build, not something pasted on after.

“It looks good now. The address is the only thing left.”

Shop rule

Would we put this in front of our own place?

That question is more useful than a mission statement. We stand back, look at the proportions, check the welds, check the backing behind the numbers, and decide whether the piece feels installed or just placed there.

If it still feels like something stuck in the yard, it does not leave.

Cut for your address The number layout is not a decal or plate added after the fact.
Readable after dark Internal light and white backing are built around nighttime legibility.
Made to feel permanent The pillar is intentionally slim, quiet, and built to belong at the entrance.

The build is a sequence of decisions.

Every step has to earn its place. If it does not help the address read better from the road or make the piece feel more permanent at the property, it does not belong on the pillar.

Material path

From flat steel to one finished address.

We are not decorating a post. We are building the address into the body from the beginning.

No decal. No thin plate. No plastic shell pretending to be permanent.

01

Start with steel.

The body begins as heavy-gauge steel, cut and formed for the size of the pillar, not molded from plastic or stamped as a decorative shell.

02

Cut the address.

Your numbers are cut through the face so the address becomes part of the pillar itself, then backed for clean daytime contrast and nighttime readability.

03

Build the body.

The pillar is welded, squared, dressed, and fitted for the internal solar light system before it ever reaches final finish.

04

Finish for the property.

Matte black stays clean and quiet. Raw steel is left to weather into its own patina. The right finish should make the entrance feel settled.

Finish choices

The finish should not fight the house.

Some properties need a crisp black edge. Others look better with raw steel that changes over time. Both are meant to make the entrance feel settled, not decorated.

Matte black

Clean and settled.

Powder coated for a quiet architectural look that works with brick, stone, siding, and dark exterior accents.

Raw steel

Meant to change.

Left raw so the surface can weather into a warm patina. The point is that it keeps becoming its own piece over time.

Before it leaves the shop.

These are the checks that matter because they are the things a homeowner notices later: from the road, from the driveway, and after dark.

The numbers have to read clean.

The cut edges, white backing, and internal light all have to work together from the street.

The proportions have to stay quiet.

It should feel permanent without turning into a monument, bollard, or roadside sign.

The finish has to suit real weather.

Powder coat or raw steel, it has to hold its place through sun, rain, and seasons.

The piece has to belong.

The best version does not shout. It makes the entrance look like someone finally finished the place.

Built for one address

Send us the address. We build the piece around it.

Choose the size, finish, and house number. We cut that address into steel, assemble the lighting, finish the piece, and send it ready to install. There is no finished shelf because every order starts with a different address.
